What Does "No Pub" Mean?

I have been trying to figure out what "no pub" means on Twitch. Every reference I can find treats it like everyone should know what it means, but I can't quite pin it down. The best I can infer is that it means the streamer does not play competitively/publicly/professionally.
Top Comment: Pubs is public games with randomers which is what most online multiplayers will do. I guess "no pubs" would be private scrims or private servers?
